There are dozens of CPOs across the country, why should drivers filter for RAW when they open Zapmap?
Drivers should filter for RAW when visiting amazing places such as, Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Legoland, Chessington World of Adventures, an increasing number of National Trust sites, English Heritage sites, RHS sites, not to mention at key retail hub sites either near major arterial routes or in local areas.
What's been the biggest surprise for RAW so far this year, and how have you responded to that?
The new EV charging regulations that came into effect in November 2024 were a significant change for CPOs. All of RAW’s chargers are compliant and it’s been great to reassure clients that they won’t face disruption or any legal repercussions. It’s surprising to hear how many in the industry are still working towards making their chargers compliant.
What is your most unique location in your network and why?
RAW Charging recently launched 12 EV chargers at National Trust’s Pont ar Daf site, right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. It’s fantastic to be able to offer sensitively designed EV charging in such a rural, and beautiful, setting.

What will the public EV charging solution look like by 2040, and how will it differ from the solutions offered today?
The solution will be standardised, reliable, efficient, (perhaps even invisible with wireless charging capabilities developing all the time) and probably not even thought about.
How are you making the charging experience simple for drivers across the UK?
We are focused on the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors where the guest and visitor experience is paramount – implementing features and services that make it easier for EV drivers to charge their vehicles allows them to enjoy stress-free days out and nights away.

What can electric car drivers expect from RAW in the next six months?
Announcement of RAW network expansion partnerships with major brands, and the installation of hundreds of reliable and easy-to-use chargers across amazing places and strategic hub locations throughout the UK.
From a driver perspective, how do you see the EV charging landscape changing over the next couple of years?
More prevalence of AC charging everywhere, and larger DC ultra-rapid ‘magnet’ hubs – drawing drivers from further afield as they have the certainty that they can get a reliable charge on a particular site.
What would be your question for the next CPO we speak to?
How would you sustainably balance installing the right number of chargers to match utilisation today vs building for the future.
