How to use Roam charge points
Access to charging at a Roam charge point can be conducted two ways by using either the Roam app, via the Zapmap app using Zap-Pay, or by scanning the contactless terminal with a credit/debit card.
How to use the Roam App:
- Plug-in the charge point connector and open Roam App.
- Scan the QR code on the side of the charger.
- Choose your payment option.
- Start charging.
How to use contactless payments:
- Plug-in the charge point connector
- Tap your card on the payment terminal to initiate the connection
- Tap your card to the payment terminal to stop the connection and unlock the charge cable.
Zap-Pay
You can use Zap-Pay to pay for your charging sessions at any Roam charge points.
Zap-Pay is the simple way to pay for charging within the Zapmap app. Select the charger you'd like to use within the app (a helpful Zap-Pay will pop up in a banner) and start your charging session at the press of a button.
You can check on the status of your charge at any time to see the estimated cost and the charge time remaining.
VAT receipts for all charging sessions are stored within the app, and can be accessed at any time to download to your device.
Where are Roam charge points located?
All Roam points can be found on Zapmap by using the network filter. This can be used on the desktop and mobile apps, and displays only those points operated by Roam.
Charging types and speeds can be filtered too, showing only those points that are compatible with users’ needs.
Select 'Filters' -> 'Networks' -> 'Roam ' to view only Roam charge points.

How does Roam compare to other networks in terms of pricing?
