Two new electric vehicle charging points have been installed in Bridlington by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The two fast rated (7kW) charging points are located in the Palace car park on Quay Road (YO15 3AA), and have been co-funded by East Riding council and Bridlington Town Council.
Councillor Chris Matthews, cabinet portfolio holder for infrastructure, highways and emergency planning, said: “The council is pleased to have plugged a gap along the East Coast.”
East Riding Council has also funded four more charging points, two in Hessle’s Swinegate car park (HU13 9LH) and in the Hessle Town Hall car park in South Lane (HU13 ORR).
The points are operated under POD Point’s network of available charging points, to access the points you must be a part of the membership scheme.
