Energy Saving Trust is hosting a series of free, electric vehicle (EV) events across Scotland to highlight to businesses the benefits of integrating EVs into their transport operations.
Speakers at the event will provide information about support available locally, including funding and financial incentives in place to help businesses to reduce their fuel costs and their carbon footprint.
Test drives will also be available so that fleet managers can get a hands-on experience.
The next event is in Aberdeen at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AB23 8BL) on Friday 17th October. For more information on upcoming events and how to register go to the Energy Saving Trust website.
On top of the OLEV Plug-in car and van grants, which offer a maximum subsidy of £5,000 and up to £8,000 for a van, Scottish organisations have the opportunity to apply for further funding through the ChargePlace Scotland project (funded by Transport Scotland). Grants of up to £10,000 are being awarded to suitable businesses to install a publicly available charging point at their premises.
