Rapid charging network InstaVolt has launched its latest charge points, capable of delivering 120 kW DC for customers.
The new BYD units will be deployed across all future installations nationwide, including locations such as Costa Coffee and McDonalds. It’s the first time BYD’s charging hardware has been imported into Europe by a charging network.
Capable of delivering 100 miles of range in just 15 minutes for vehicles able to take 120+ kW, the charge points will add to what is already a well respected network – regularly scoring highly in Zap-Map surveys.
Looking ahead, InstaVolt aims to install charge points capable of delivering 150 kW and more, with plans for these to start going into the ground within this financial year. All InstaVolt units will continue to be backed by 100% renewable energy.
The new BYD charge points come with two tethered connectors – one CCS and one CHAdeMO, and support two vehicles charging at the same time, boosting availability for drivers.
