Mazda has revealed UK pricing and specifications for the new MX-30 – the Japanese firm’s new pure-electric crossover.
The EV will feature a range of up to 124 miles on a single charge, and cost from £25,545. The 35.5 kWh battery can be charged at up to 6.6 kW via the on-board AC charger, or up to 50 kW DC using the CCS inlet – the latter giving a charge to 80% in around half an hour.
Mazda is launching a First Edition model, which is available for pre-order now. This will be followed up with the launch of three core trim levels – SE-L Lux, Sport Lux, and GT Sport Tech.
The compact crossover will challenge the likes of Mini’s Electric and the Honda e in terms of stylish, urban-focused EVs. All three will have a similar range and dedication to premium style inside and out, rather than offering a long out-right driving range.
The Mazda MX-30 First Edition will start at £27,495 after £3,000 UK Plug-in Car Grant, with deliveries expected to start in March 2021. Following the 500 limited edition models, The three trim levels will start at £25,545, £27,545, and £29,845 for SE-L Lux, Sport Lux, and GT Sport Tech respectively.
