Mercedes Benz has revealed that six new pure-electric models are due to join the EQ range. The next to arrive will be the EQS, an electric version of the German brand’s famous S-Class, which will arrive next year.
Other confirmed models include an EQE – an EV version of the E-Class – and SUV versions of both the EQS and EQE also promised. Additional models based on the same new electric architecture underpinning the above will be revealed shortly.
The new scalable platform is able to be modified to fit everything from saloons to SUVs, and will form the basis of a variety of Mercedes’ large vehicle offering.
A range of up to 435 miles will be possible from the EQS, which will kick-start the next generation of electric models from Mercedes Benz. However, the company is continuing to electrify existing products, with the EQC pure-electric SUV and EQV MPV already launched. Mercedes has also confirmed the EQA and EQB models are due in the near future.
