As Zap-Map first reported in October last year, Gloucestershire County Council has installed the first of six new fast charging points and four rapid charging points across Cheltenham and Gloucester.
One of the locations is at the former Royal Mail Depot close to the railway station where businesses Cheltenham Bikes and Compass Holidays are located. Here a rapid charger provides enough power to recharge an electric car to 80% capacity is under 30 minutes.
Steve Short, director of Cheltenham Bikes and Compass Holidays said: “We’re really pleased to have the new car charging points, and we think they’ll prove really popular as a rapid charging solution.”
The other planned EV charging sites include Montpellier Street by the Rotunda and Regent Arcade car park in Cheltenham and the Westgate and Eastgate car parks in Gloucester.
