Osprey Charging has helped to increase public electric vehicle (EV) charging in Nottinghamshire by opening a brand new ultra-rapid charging hub.
Eight new charge points have been installed at the Gamston Lock pub and restaurant as part of a longstanding partnership with Marstons. Osprey has installed and operates rapid charge points at over 150 Marston’s locations.
The 300kW rapid charge points can typically add 100 miles of range in just 10-25 minutes, depending on the model of the vehicle and its battery.
Paying for charging sessions with Osprey charge points is simple using Zap-Pay, simply select the charge point from within the app, select payment type, and your charging session will begin.
“We’re delighted to open another large hub with Marston’s; over the years their welcoming pubs and restaurants have become well-known and popular charge stops for EV drivers,” said Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging.
“The electric transition is well underway and we’re here to provide a reliable and rapid public charging service for drivers, from Cornwall to Scottish Highlands.
“Each of our new locations is carefully designed to maximise space, accessibility and availability of chargers, working to the latest and highest standards.
“This new charging site at the Gamston Lock pub and restaurant near Nottingham is a vital part of the re-charging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.”
Osprey charge points can be found on the Zapmap app and web app by using the network filter, as a dynamic data partner, live status and availability is shown.
“We are delighted to add the Gamston Lock to our growing network of Rapid EV Chargers. Marston’s now has one of the biggest independent Rapid EV charger networks in the UK,” said Andy Kershaw for Marston’s.
“Every week we see an increase in use demonstrating the growing demand across the country, they are a great addition for our customers who can enjoy a bite to eat or a drink whilst their batteries are charging.”
