Evolution Bristol kicks off this weekend on Saturday 21st May, with a huge range of ultra low emission vehicles (ULEVs) on show. The regions leading public EV event will take place in Millennium Square, but there isn’t long left to register for the free event.
Those who do register will have the opportunity to not only look around some of the most advanced vehicles on the market, but test drive them too – getting behind the wheel to see what the plug-in models feel like on UK roads.
Cars such as the futuristic looking BMW’s i3 supermini and i8 sportscar will be at Evolution Bristol, along with the more conventional looking 220xe Active Tourer MPV and X5 xDrive 40e SUV – both of which are plug-in hybrids.
They will be joined by the UK’s two biggest selling plug-in vehicles in the shape of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and Nissan Leaf, with those registered able to book in a test drive of some of the 25 makes and models on show.
Colin Boyton, Evolution Events Manager, said: “We are delighted to bring Evolution Bristol back to Millennium Square, with the help of Bristol City Council, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Councils, as we once again bring you the only motor show, anywhere in the West Country, where you get to drive!
“We want to help you make an educated decision as to whether electric and plug-in vehicles are a viable option for you and your family, and potentially save you, the motorist, hundreds of pounds on fuel. We do that by making it possible for you to experience some of the most innovative cars and technology on the market.”
There will be experts on hand to talk through any questions too for anyone tempted at plug-in car ownership. For more information, and to register for test drives, visit the Evolution Bristol website.
